"Fun at Adventure Park"

My friend and I started our Costa Rica trip at Adventure Park, and we had a great time. The rooms are clean and nicely sized, and we had a great view. The food is alright (not great, but very edible). The tours are what makes this place awesome, and one of our favorite parts of our trip. The zipline tour is truly amazing, and the guides are great. They are very knowledgable and careful (not to mention easy on the eyes!). I will second the other reviewer's comments about GPS (for Adventure Park and in Costa Rica in general). If you rent a car, rent a GPS as well or half of your trip will be spent driving in circles. The hotel is pretty far from nightlife or other entertainment, so this hotel is probably best visited with a rental car.

"The Ultimate Costa Rican Experience!!!"

We had many pleasant surprises during our stay at this resort. We decided to stay here our last night in Costa Rica because it was the closest of our chosen destinations to the airport. We wanted to do the ziplining and my goodness was this amazing!!!! The team was friendly, helpful, and I felt very safe. I would reccomend that anyone in good health try this. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be and yet it was truly spectacular the incredible things you see and do. Swimming in the waterfalls was outstanding! This river and the surrounding jungle are more than I imagined! A must do!!Lunch was incredibly delicious! I was surprised that each person was offered their choice of fish, chicken, beef, or pork. All was very good! We were the only couple who stayed the night at this small resort. We felt very special and not at all awkward about it. After taking a dip in the beautiful spring-fed pool, we took a small hike on this fantastic trail. We had not asked about the trail before we took it so we really had fun when we discovered beautiful orchards with oranges, grapefruits, bananas, and lots of other fruits. We came around a corner and saw the well-constructed ropes course with a group of howler monkeys on one of the platforms. How exciting! They all scrambled down when they saw us so we continued on the trail, down the hill, through incredible forest, along a gorgeous river. One monkey stayed behind to yell at us and we got to see him up close. No threat, we just turned away after a few minutes and he went his own way. Lots of fun!!! The whole hike was one amazing discovery after another. Finally, the evening was truly magical! We sat on the deck (which is built around a HUGE tree from which they hang bananas to attract all kinds of beautiful birds) and watched the sunset over the mountians. The view out to the islands in the gulf was breathtaking. Having a five-star dinner was a great surprise. We enjoyed our dinner so much we asked to give our compliments to the chef. I speak enough spanish to learn that Roja worked for Hilton and the Four Seasons before coming to this hidden gem of a resort. I could not ask for better food! At breakfast we were given fresh fruit "smoothies" along with a great typical Costa Rican beans and rice and eggs cooked to order. All food and drinks were included in the price of our package. A GREAT value!!! Kim, Walter, and all of the staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. I would recommend anyone to treat themselves to this wonderful Costa Rican Experience!

"An Experience of a Lifetime! What a find!"

I spent 2 nights here with my family, which consisted of my husband, and 3 kids, ages 12, 10 and 8. The hotel is somewhat remote. Renting a GPS was one of the best moves we made. I'm not sure we would have found the place without it. Definitely worth the money.

As we traveled on in Costa Rica I listened to other tourists adventures and they did not compare to all that we got to do at Hotel Vista Golfo. We purchased the platinum package, which consisted of 2 nights lodging, 2 tours and all of our meals. We did the 1 hour horseback ride and canopy tour and the high ropes course. We felt spoiled by the number of guides we had. My 8 year old daughter was nervous about the canopy tour, so a guide stayed strapped to her the entire time. Other peoples canopy tours were much smaller and didn't go over water, many people mentioned that on their tour they had to wait in lines to go on the next zipline. None of that happened here! It was extremely well run, safe, and an amazing experience. I was a little hesitant about the high ropes course, it ended up being fabulous! It was challenging, fun and gave our family an amazing bonding time. I swear my kids are better people after this trip. We had to encourage each other, trust each other and depend on each other. The view from the property is amazing and the owners are fabulous caring people, the staff was superb as well. If you come to Costa Rica...this is a must do!!! "Gorgeous Property"

We stayed here for 2 nights and 2 days. The value of the platinum package can't be beat. All meals are included and you get 2 tours. We did the 25 cable zip line and the hour ATV tour. The zip-line is the best I have done ( I have been on 3 total now, in diff. countries) You get to swim in a waterfall pool which was refreshing. The ATV tour was ok but it was a smaller track than the full tour so it became monotonous after a while.

The restraunt was excellent. The tomato soup is to die for! Breakfast and lunch were ok, but dinner was great! The first night we were there we had dinner and couldn't wait to see what they had for breakfast and dinner. It was a let down in comparison but made us want dinner all the more.

THe rooms were really clean and one of the few places where TV (satelite) was in the rooms. I will say no water pressure/hot water in the shower. They have the old electric showers. We were the only people there the first night so really quite place and it's about a 15minute car ride into town, so having the TV was a sanity helper. During the afternoon we took advantage of the beautiful pool area after our zip line tour. The water is really cold as it comes from the mountain, but refreshing on a hot day.

The staff were all helpful and friendly. We loved Walter. He was our guide for both tours.

This really is the best deal out there for what you get. If you have time to stay there and do the Platinum package I highly recomm. it!

A friend and I took the Backpacker package with the waterfall ziplines. What a delight!! I have been on half a dozen different canopy tours, and this one is the best. Spectactular. The guides are proficient and the tour itself magnificant. The food was excellent, and the room exceeded our expectations. I hope to return within a month to do it again.

Your staffs was great and the scenery was absolutely amazing! I only wish everyone was able to go on the 25 Canopy Tour, but obviously with the amount of horses that was not possible. Nonetheless, the 11 Canopy Tour group raved about the facilities and there are absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I'm just so disappointed that the Dawn Princess won't be coming your way again soon (at least not while I'm still on board!) so that we can visit again. The whole crew of Statendam would like to thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful resort and your kind hospitality.Everyone who did the canopy tour commented on the breath taking scenery and friendliness of your staff.Even though it was raining while our group did the canopy, we thought it was an added bonus since it depicted what we would picture when we think about rain forests. Also, the horseback riding (my favorite) was so adventurous.I have been on horse riding tours before, but nothing like this one.When we stopped and hiked up the forest and swam underneath the waterfall was so spectacular!I definitely felt like we were on a beautiful lagoon while breathing in the fresh air and splashing in the cool water.Your resort is a place where I would definitely rave about to my family, friends and colleagues!!
